We went to go see Speed Racer last night, it was great, I loved it. Definitely visually stimulating. The Wakoski Bros definitely did a great job of capturing the amusingly corny aspects of the cartoon’s original action and dialog. Unfortunately, however… The movie theater was surprisingly empty, and I was definitely disappointed when Speedy pulled out in the Mach 6! The little kid, , was my favorite character though, he reminds me of myself as a child. I give it a 9 out of 10 for being inspirational… Go Go Mach 5!

Here’s one of the newest ‘Special Collectors Edition’ designs by Corey Davis, coming out later this month, the ‘Grand Panda’ Plush shirt is a dedication to the victims of Tienanmen Square. Because of the designs array of color and level of intritcacy, we only printed a limited amount of them, so keep your eyes open folks, it’s my favorite shit and its going to move fast!

I brought Mariokart Wii on sunday and havent stopped playing it since! It’s extra fun, especially with 3 or 4 people, I love the little steering wheel. It kinda reminds me of being a kid, it used to be one of my favorite games. It seems kinda rushed, the graphics are kinda wack although the new courses are crazy, and they definitely didnt put much time into the menu system (Hint Hint, is that a new plush shirt?). Come thru someday so I can kick your ass!

N.E.R.D is supposed to be on the cover of The Source’s June issue. It’s alittle sad because I actually wanna purchase this copy of coon entertainment, I’m kinda excited to see what the story is about. It may just be the magazines desperate effort at reaching a broader audience, because honestly, I never seen this coming. I know the GITD Tour has seriously been over blogged, so I’ll just continue to add my small contribution… Lol, ofcourse everyone has been raving over Kanye’s set, but NERD’s show is looking pretty crucial too. I’m loving the huge panoramic screen shots of the crowd.

Pharrell co-owns a bicycle company called Brooklyn Machine Works, and suprised Kanye with the glow in the dark “Ganster Work” bike with exlusive ‘George Bush Hates Black People’ bar ends, in celebration for adding NERD to the bill. I also heard that the Child Rebel Soldier (Pharrell, Kanye, Lupe) album will definitely be coming out late this year, but don’t cross your fingers NERDs album has been postponed for years now… The trio came together shortly after finishing the song, US Placers, I fucking love that Thom Yorke sample btw.

Apparently, Lupe is only dropping one more album, stating that he’s losing interest in music after 7 long years… Which really isn’t a bad thing seeing that neither of his last two albums could be considered as a ‘classic’. Back in his mixtape days, he was definitely one of my personal favorite; but here’s his new video, Paris Tokyo, one of the few songs I actually like from The Cool…

Speaking about glowing in the dark, Kid Robots just released their lastest creation, the Zombie Pet. Its so cute its hardly scary, the 8 inch undead toy is made of a translucent blue vinyl and printed with glow in the dark skeleton, designed by an Argentinean illustrator named Patricio Oliver. They always manage to do the sickest collaberations, The Dunny French series is also quite awesome!

Wake up America! European artist have really been holding it down lately. Nike has an online service called Nike iD, where you can customize your shoes by picking your own color and material. The Nike iD Studio in Berlin where they only accept appointments has a larger selection of patterns, tones and textures available than on the online catalog. Time to go get your passport kiddies. Goodnight!

Kanye West revealed his new sneaker while on the Glow in the Tour, in collaberation with Nike they created a ill new shoe that happens to glow in the dark, I think they’re pretty sick, I’ll definitely be coping a pair, even though they’ll definitely be over saturated. It is alleged that the shoe will be released sometime this summer. O, how I wish someone would take me to see N.E.R.D….

 

Both, Gnarls Barkley and Erykah Badu’s albums are incredibly great. Smooth and innovative, they had to be added into the daily rotation here at the plush store.

Kid Robot approached 3 European artist for their 8 inch “3 Bears” Dunny series. Limited to a blue, black and white color palette; ilovedust, Jon Burgerman, and TADO came up with some incredible designs. I love designer toys, come check out our collection at the Plush Store sometime.

The UAA crew of Atlanta came thru to lay some fresh graffiti on the wall for us this weekend, check it out!

This movie actually got really bad reviews, but I happened to think it was pretty cool, the cinematography and dialog was quite good. The plot, an American family is held hostage and tortured by 2 young gentlemen, although none of the violence is actually shown on camera. Other good movies I’ve liked recently… The Departed, Old Boy, Derailed.

For those of you that don’t know I’m a huge movie buff! That’s all I really do when I’m not hard at work. The Speed Racer movie comes out in 2 weeks, Im extra stoked about that! The Wakoski Bros can never fail. I also heard about the GI Joe movie thats supposed to drop real soon, Marlon Wanyes is supposed to be Ripcord, that should be ill, I haven’t seen him play a serious role since Requim for a Dream.

And Mach 5 loves Atlanta, we’ve been real busy, we’ve done 3 shows in the past week! Dope shit, A.ware and I love performing, lol the logo Plush tee is his favorite. Beforehand we prefer to go a bar in Little 5 Points called El Myr, for they’re burritos and $16 margarita pitchers. But last time I tried some of theyre Sangria, it was decent..

I met Rapper Big Pooh of the group Little Brother last week, he’s a real cool dude. He came through to City of Ink to get a tattoo by Miya. So ofcourse I hit him with 3 of our lastest designs, lol we didn’t really have his size though. He wears a 4x and we only to go to 2x in or t shirts and 3x in our hoodies. Lol, sorry but we don’t want anyone to wear our shirts the wrong way! Anyways check out this pic!

This weekend, I had the privilege to tattoo R&B artist, Nivea, a good friend brought her by and she liked my work. She was fine as fuck in person, real down to earth, lol. We talked about her life, her career, and her relationships with Dream and Lil Wayne. Here she is in a Plush shirt and the tat I did for her..

I been wasting alot of time lately, enjoying Nintendo Wii’s newest sensation, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This game is a childhood favorite of mine, so I was really anticipating the release. It’s hella fun, they introduced alot of new characters, they even added Sega super star, Sonic, he’s dope but he’s pretty hard to use. Come thru so I can woop your ass!

We got some new designs coming out next week, I really had to step the game up (we got alot of locals jacking our swagger right now). So it all fresh, new original shit coming, personally I think its some of the best stuff I ever done in my life, so look out for it!
